Note that I’m not so much interested in creating drum kits like you would with an MPC or iMPC, but rather simply creating custom musical instruments on the iPad much like the Roland S-50 for example. Perhaps others with more knowledge on the subject will be able to comment about additional methods for importing multi-samples into the iPad. Below are some examples I’ve found that have limitations, but it’s a start.
